The New Year holidays have started and this time the New Year is falling on the weekend of January, the day the year 2023 will begin, is a Sunday. In such a situation, if you want to celebrate New Year with your family and friends at a hill station amidst cold winds and beautiful plains, then we are going to tell you about some tourist spots where you can take a short trip.

Auli is a popular hill station that sees snow almost all the time. Hence this place is one of the favourite places for adventure sports lovers. Auli falls on the way to Badrinath and religious tourists can visit Char Dham (Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath) from here. Here you can see Auli Lake (the world's highest man-made lake), and Nanda Devi Sanctuary. Auli is 319 kms from Meerut.

Almora Hill Station

Almora hill station is 380 km away from Meerut from where you can see the Kumaon hill range of the Himalayan mountains. The place is surrounded by tall deodar trees, so there is always a cool breeze blowing here. If you want to live in the open air and in nature, then you will like this place very much. Here you can see the Kosi river and visit Kasar Devi temple.

Chakrata Hill Station

Chakrata, 279 km from Meerut, is a beautiful hill station from where the Himalayan mountain range, colourful birds and forests of alpine trees are visible. There used to be a British cantonment at this place. Here you can visit Tiger Falls, Budher and Chirimiri Sunset Point.

Jageshwar Hill Station

Jageshwar, 350 km from Meerut, is a famous pilgrimage centre located in the Jata Ganga river valley near a small village named Artola on the Almora-Pithoragarh highway. Lush green deodar tree forests and a number of Jyotirlinga temples are the main attractions of this place. The Jata Ganga river and its streams Nandini and Survi add to the beauty of the place. Here you will find Jyotirlinga Temple, Airavat Gufa (Cave), Brahma Kund and Archaeological Museum.
